Five characters - whose van has broken down - are looking for the way out of the desert, and it's every man for himself. Over twenty years, the time taken by their quest (which for most of them remains futile), they lose sight of each other, meet strange beings, then end up meeting again, during a process of inexorable decline caused and sustained by solitude and the many different threats that weigh upon them, in a world where aggression and the abuse of power have become weapons of survival.
A fine example of situation theatre, where the characters, without biographical context, come into existence on the stage. The literal dimension, extremely effective in dramatic terms, is loaded with a metaphorical power which gives the play its richness and density.
