At an unspecified time in the past, after the murder of Oedipus and Eteocles by Polynices, Creon takes the throne. He calls himself a democrat, but Antigone makes him realise that liberalism founded on dictatorship is no better than the autocracy of her father. In her battle to thwart the new tyrants, she uses sex as her weapon, along with agitprop in bars filled with idle, drunken citizens.
